Mahabubnagar – A one-day training session was held on Sunday to prepare newly appointed Licensed Surveyors for the rollout of the Bhu Bharati programme. The event took place at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall in Mahabubnagar and aimed to teach the surveyors the skills needed to carry out accurate land surveys and maintain proper land records.
District Collector Vijyendra Boyi opened the session. He spoke about the need for precise land documentation to improve transparency and reduce land-related disputes. He encouraged the surveyors to work with honesty and dedication, noting their vital role in improving land administration across the district.
Kishan Rao, Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records, explained that the training is a crucial part of the state’s broader land reforms under the Bhu Bharati initiative. He said that the selected surveyors will help implement the programme by conducting reliable land surveys, updating records, and supporting the shift toward digital land management.
The training covered several important areas. Surveyors learned about the legal aspects of the Bhu Bharati Act, how to use modern surveying equipment, and how to manage digital land records. They were also guided on how to handle on-ground challenges and follow best practices for accurate measurements.
The session began promptly at 9:30 a.m., and the strong turnout showed the new surveyors’ commitment to supporting the programme’s goals. Their efforts are expected to play a key role in transforming how land is recorded and managed in the state.
