Hyderabad is seeing significant growth in its Life Sciences sector, according to State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. Since December 2023, the sector has drawn investments of Rs 54,000 crore, making the city a global leader.
The Minister, who chairs the Telangana Life Sciences Foundation, led its 6th Board Meeting in Hyderabad. Key figures like Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Chairman Satish Reddy, Laurus Labs ED & CEO Dr. Satyanarayana Chava, Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, and Shakti Nagappan attended.
The sector has created over 2 lakh new jobs in areas like pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical technology, and vaccine production.
