Hyderabad – The Dattagiri Maharaj Vedic School, located in Bardipur village of Jharasangam mandal, Sangareddy district, is offering free admission into its traditional Vedic Pathashala.
The school is managed by the Dattagiri Charitable Trust. In a press release, Dr. Siddeshwarananda Giri Maharaj, the Maha Mandaleshwar Peethadhipati, and Alladi Veeresham Gupta announced that there are no caste restrictions for applicants. Anyone who has completed Class 5 and is under 14 years of age can apply.
At present, around 90 students are enrolled and studying Krishna Yajurveda at the ashram. The school provides free education, meals, and accommodation to all students.
The course spans six years and includes in-depth training in the Vedas, including Pravesh, Vara, and Pravara levels. These courses cover areas like Archaka, Paurohitya, and Shodasa Samskara Vidya.
Students also learn Vedanta, Nyaya, Yoga Darshan, and practice meditation, bhajans, and book reading, all under the guidance of Siddheshwarananda Giri Maharaj. Currently, three teachers are guiding the students.
The application process is already open. An oral entrance exam will take place on May 29. Admissions are scheduled for June 5, and classes will begin on June 12 with a Linga Deeksha ceremony.
