Hyderabad: The Federation of North Eastern Colonies of Secunderabad (FNECS) is concerned about a large new structure being built by the Local Military Authorities (LMA) on the open ground opposite Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bolarum. On Wednesday, they submitted a memorandum urging an immediate halt to the construction.

Currently, the open ground serves as a parking space for school buses, trucks, auto-rickshaws, and tempos. If the area is developed, these vehicles will have to park on Generals Road, the route from Yapral to Kendriya Vidyalaya Bolarum.

Generals Road is narrow and only allows two light vehicles to pass at a time. If vehicles park here while waiting for children, it could lead to significant traffic issues. “The LMA started building without prior notice, causing potential inconvenience. If the parking area is developed, traffic jams are likely. It’s best for the LMA to stop the work to avoid these problems,” stated CS Chandrashekhar, Secretary of FNECS.
