HYDRA demolishes illegal buildings on 17 acres in Koheda village

Hyderabad – Acting on complaints about illegal land use, HYDRA Commissioner AV Ranganath visited Rajaji Nagar layout in Koheda village, located in Abdullapurmet mandal of Ranga Reddy district, on Wednesday.

The layout stretches across 17 acres and contains around 190 plots. Several plot owners had earlier raised concerns through the Prajavani grievance program, claiming unlawful land encroachments and unauthorized construction.

According to the complaints, a man named Sammireddy Bal Reddy allegedly took over public spaces like parks and roads using fake documents. These actions blocked access for legitimate plot owners and violated their property rights.

In response, HYDRA officials acted quickly. They demolished illegal structures that had been built on the internal roads of the layout. This move is part of HYDRA’s ongoing effort to stop illegal development and protect shared community spaces.

After the demolition, many plot owners expressed relief and praised HYDRA for stepping in. They appreciated the swift action taken to restore order and protect their legal rights.

Later the same day, Commissioner Ranganath also visited a lake in Koheda village. Residents had complained that their lands were getting flooded by the lake. He instructed local officers to thoroughly investigate the issue.

HYDRA continues to monitor the situation closely and promises to take strict action against anyone found violating land use laws.
