Hyderabad has organized medical camps at key immersion sites to assist devotees during emergencies. These camps, active for three days, are prepared to offer aid. Locations include Musheerabad, Necklace Road, and NTR Marg.
At NTR Stadium, the Urban Primary Health Care (UPHC) unit oversees a camp with doctors and nurses working in three shifts for continuous service. Dr. Krupali highlighted the round-the-clock medical presence. On the third day, Dr. Madeeha treated about 25 patients in the morning. She managed cases like diabetes, injuries, and common ailments such as coughs, colds, and fevers. “We ensure prompt treatment for minor health issues and regular monitoring for patients like diabetics,” said Dr. Madeeha. The medical team comprises three doctors and three nurses rotating shifts.
Camp officials report over 80 patients seek treatment daily, mainly for general issues, though some accident-related injuries occur during immersion events. Despite thorough arrangements, patient numbers are lower than expected, potentially due to low public awareness. Officials emphasize that these camps aim to provide immediate care to devotees, volunteers, and workers. Even with modest turnout, the presence of medical staff ensures timely help for health emergencies. As immersion activities proceed, the camps will continue to operate in three daily shifts.
