Karimnagar: Pamela Satpathy, the District Collector, highlighted the essential role of teachers in shaping education. She encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by their teachers to build a successful future.
A Teachers’ Day event took place at the Collectorate Auditorium, organized by the School Education Department. During the celebration, Collector Satpathy compared teachers to mothers, emphasizing their responsibility to nurture and instill strong academic values in their students.
Government schools serve many students from poorer and middle-class backgrounds. Satpathy urged teachers to seize this chance to positively influence these students. By doing so, they help guide thousands towards a bright future.
Teachers are encouraged to visit homes in villages to discuss students’ education, which can help boost attendance rates. Satpathy stressed that teachers’ regular presence at schools would naturally improve student attendance, aiming to make the district a state model for school education.
Ashwini Tanaji Wakade, the Additional Collector, advised teachers to monitor students closely, ensuring they remain stress-free and avoid bad habits. Teachers were urged to care for students like mothers and guide them wisely.
During the event, 43 government school teachers and 17 private school teachers received Best Teacher Awards. Retired principals were honored, and 95 government school principals who achieved 100% results in class 10 last year were gifted wall clocks.
