    Hyderabad: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) applauded Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for prioritizing cow protection. They urged that this commitment should be evident in actions, not just words.

    VHP leaders P Balaswamy, Isampally Venkanna, and Ramesh expressed their support for the Chief Minister’s promise to safeguard cow heritage at any cost. They emphasized the importance of forming a dedicated committee with three top officials to develop effective strategies for this cause.

    The leaders encouraged the government to actively engage with cow protectors and learn from states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. They specifically recommended visiting the Go Vigyan Kendra in Nagpur for insights.

    Recently, the VHP requested 100 acres for the Vemulawada Rajanna Goshala, prompting the Chief Minister’s announcement. He also advised that cow protection laws should be enforced consistently, not just during Bakrid. The VHP leaders met with State Governor Jishnu Dev Verma to advocate for strict law implementation.

    They proposed allocating funds for advanced cow shelters in Vemulawada, Yadagirigutta, Enikepalli, and the Agriculture University. Additionally, they suggested establishing shelters on temple lands throughout the state.
