Collector Santosh Tells Officials to Prepare Reports Before July 9 DISHA Meeting

Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has instructed officials from all departments to prepare detailed reports and action plans for the central government’s development schemes. These preparations are for the upcoming DISHA (District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee) meeting on July 9.

On Monday, a meeting took place in the Collectorate’s Conference Hall to discuss arrangements for the event. The focus was on ensuring everything is ready ahead of time.

District Collector Santosh highlighted the meeting’s importance, which will be led by Nagar Kurnool MP and DISHA Committee Chairman Dr. Mallu Ravi. He asked each department to provide clear reports on the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes.

Officials must present thorough reports covering completed projects, ongoing programs, and future plans. A department-wise status update is required.

Special attention should be on:

  • Residential Schools and Hostels: Details on vacancies, infrastructure, facilities, student services, improvements, and pending work.

  • Departmental Reports: Agriculture, Health, Education, Women & Child Welfare, Mission Bhagiratha, welfare of SC, ST, BC, and Minorities, Panchayati Raj, Civil Supplies, Marketing, Rural Development, and Municipal Administration.

The Collector emphasized that all departments must organize their data clearly for effective review at the DISHA meeting.

Attendees of the preparatory meeting included DCCB Chairman Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Additional Collectors Lakshminarayana and Narsing Rao, along with heads of district departments, municipal commissioners, and bank representatives.

The meeting stressed the need for coordination and careful preparation to showcase the district’s progress and pinpoint areas needing improvement in central government schemes.
