NagarKurnool: Telangana’s Minister for Prohibition, Excise, and Tourism, Jupally Krishna Rao, highlighted the state’s efforts to support women economically in different fields. He encouraged all eligible women to make the most of the various government schemes designed for their benefit.
Minister Krishna Rao spoke at the opening of the new Indira Mahila Shakti Canteen, developed as part of the District Mahila Federation’s efforts, on Friday evening. This canteen is situated on the first floor of the Integrated District Office Complex in Nagarkurnool district. Alongside local MLA Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy and District Collector Badawat Santosh, the minister inaugurated the canteen.
At the event, Minister Krishna Rao discussed how the Telangana government began implementing its election promises immediately after coming to power. He mentioned the successful loan waivers for eligible farmers, with funds directly deposited into their accounts.
The minister assured that the government would continue to fulfill its promises, focusing on development and welfare schemes for youth, students, and women. He pointed out that the Mahila Shakti Canteens would help women achieve financial independence, with the government providing all necessary support.
District Collector Badawat Santosh urged members of women’s groups to take full advantage of the Mahila Shakti initiative. He encouraged them to choose units based on their interests and improve their business skills to achieve success. He expressed optimism that if the first group of beneficiaries succeeded, it would motivate more women to join.
Additional Collectors K. Sitaram Rao, Devasahayam, DRDA PD Chinna Obulesu, DPM Arunadevi, and other district officials were also present at the event.
