Hyderabad – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has appealed to the central government for support in speeding up key road projects around Hyderabad. He met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at Begumpet Airport on Monday night and asked for both financial help and Union Cabinet approval for the northern stretch of the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
The Telangana government has already invited tenders for this section, signaling its readiness to begin work. Reddy emphasized the need to complete both the northern and southern parts of the RRR at the same time. He asked the Centre to assist in making that happen.
During their short meeting, the Chief Minister also discussed other important infrastructure needs. He requested approval for an elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam along National Highway 765, which connects to Hyderabad.
Reddy also pushed for the Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Expressway, a major new route that would improve travel between the two cities. In addition, he sought development of radial roads to better link the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
Other proposals included the Hyderabad-Dindi-Mannanur road, a new Hyderabad-Mancherial Greenfield Highway, and upgrades to highways and radial roads from ORR to Manneguda.
The Chief Minister stressed that these projects are crucial for boosting regional connectivity, easing traffic congestion, and supporting economic growth across the state.
