    Nirmal: A school roof collapsed in Antharni village, Kubheer mandal, injuring four students on Friday.

    Sai Kumar, a second grader from Tirpelli village, suffered a head injury and is in critical condition. Another second grader, Prem Gorekar, broke both legs. Abhinay and Gorekar Pranay had minor injuries. All were taken to the government hospital in Bhainsa.

    The incident happened during the Badi Bata program, causing parents to worry about the safety of old school buildings. They called for immediate action to prevent such accidents.

    Officials’ negligence is blamed for the collapse. Teachers had warned about the building’s poor state, but nothing was done. A parent remarked that timely repairs could have prevented their children’s injuries.
