The Mahabubnagar District Collectorate was lively on Wednesday as people celebrated Telangana Liberation Day and Praja Palana Day. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao led the festivities, with notable figures like MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, MLA Anirudh Reddy, MLA G. Madhusudhan Reddy, and District Collector Vijaya Indira Boi in attendance. Officials, local leaders, and residents gave them a warm welcome.
Minister Jupally raised the National Flag amid cheers from students, citizens, and government staff. He expressed his good wishes for Telangana Liberation Day and emphasized the importance of people-focused governance through Praja Palana.
Students showcased Telangana’s culture with patriotic songs, dances, and skits, earning loud applause from the audience.
A special highlight was the honoring of veteran freedom fighters with shawls and mementos, recognizing their contributions to Telangana’s freedom fight. Leaders also distributed notebooks to schoolchildren, encouraging them to study diligently and engage in community activities.
The event saw the presence of District SP D. Janaki, MUDA Chairman Laxman Yadav, Market Committee Chairperson Bekkari Anita Madhusudhan Reddy, senior Congress leader Vinod Kumar, former Municipal Chairman Anand Goud, DCC General Secretary Siraj Khadri, SC Cell Chairman Sai Baba, and many local representatives.
