V. Veena Chari from Aiza town in Jogulamba Gadwal district has achieved a significant milestone by earning a Ph.D. in Physics from Osmania University. His research journey was guided by Associate Professor Dr. N. V. Prasad.
The university’s Examination Branch has officially confirmed his Ph.D. award. In 2017, Veena Chari ranked 169th in the All India CSIR-NET exam and earned a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), leading him to join the Ph.D. program in the Physics Department at Osmania University.
His thesis, titled “Electrical and Magnetic Studies on Aurivillius Phase Multiferroic Compounds,” involved collaboration with Prof. Srinivasan Gopalan from Oakland University, USA, and support from DRML, DRDO, Hyderabad. He has published five research papers in esteemed international journals, and on May 26, he submitted his thesis to the university.
Currently, he serves as a Junior Lecturer in Physics at Government Junior College, Manopad. The college principal K. Padmavati and faculty members, including K. Venkatakrishna Reddy, B. Srinivasulu, B. Laxman Rao, and others, extended their congratulations for his academic success.
